  In November,the national production of ten types of non-ferrous metals reached 5.11 million tons,a year-on-year increase of 4%,with a year-on-year decrease of 8.7 percentage points.Among them,the production of electrolytic aluminum reached 2.9 million tons,a decrease of 3.2%,compared to a growth of 19.2%in the same period last year;The production of alumina reached 5.67 million tons,a decrease of 9.7%,compared to a growth of 25.7%in the same period last year.From January to November,the national production of ten types of non-ferrous metals reached 53.31 million tons,a year-on-year increase of 3.9%,and the growth rate decreased by 2.2 percentage points.Among them,the production of electrolytic aluminum reached 32.13 million tons,a decrease of 0.6%,compared to a 7.5%increase in the same period last year;The production of alumina reached 66.49 million tons,a decrease of 0.7%,compared to a growth of 9.1%in the same period last year.
  Global metallurgical alumina production decreased by 0.2%year-on-year in November
  According to data from the International Aluminum Industry Association,the estimated global metallurgical alumina production in November was around 342400 tons per day,a year-on-year decrease of 0.2%.This is the first year-on-year decrease since May,as China reduced production by 5.6%.

  In November 2019,China's export of aluminum alloy wheels reached 307 million US dollars,a year-on-year decrease of 30.2%.The export quantity was 7.06 million units(calculated as 10kg per unit),a year-on-year decrease of 26.6%;There are 527 export manufacturers.From January to November 2019,China's aluminum wheel exports amounted to 3.702 billion US dollars,a year-on-year decrease of 15.4%.The export quantity was 82.69 million units(calculated as 10kg per unit),a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%.In November,there were 75 companies exporting≥10000 units,27 companies exporting≥50000 units,15 companies exporting≥100000 units,7 companies exporting≥200000 units,and 3 companies exporting≥500000 units.
  Mexico makes final anti-dumping ruling against China's aluminum foil rolls
  On December 27,2019,the Mexican Ministry of Economy announced in the official gazette that it had made a final anti-dumping ruling on imported aluminum foil rolls originating in China,and decided to set a minimum price limit of$3.4817 per kilogram for Chinese aluminum foil rolls.The difference between the minimum price and the import price for the products involved below the minimum price limit was levied as anti-dumping duty.
  Multiple aluminum mining companies selected for the 2019 green mine selection list
  The Ministry of Natural Resources has announced the selection list of green mines for 2019,among which the aluminum industry has been shortlisted for mining projects including Xiaoyi Aluminum Mine Xiangwang Aluminum Mine of China Aluminum Corporation,Yongshun Aluminum Mine of Baofeng County,and Luoyang Aluminum Mine of China Aluminum Corporation.

  The People's Government of Kaili City and Sichuan Qiya Aluminum Industry Group signed the"Investment Intention Agreement for Guizhou Qiya Aluminum Industry Company's Annual Production of 500000 tons of Aluminum Oxide Project"in Chengdu,signing a contract for the third phase of Guizhou Qiya Aluminum Industry Co.,Ltd.(Kaili)'s 500000 tons of aluminum oxide technical transformation and expansion,with an additional investment of 800 million yuan for the project.
  Yunnan Aluminum Co.,Ltd.plans to build a green and low-carbon hydropower aluminum processing integrated Heqing project(Phase II)
  Yunnan Aluminum Corporation announced that its controlling subsidiary,Heqing Yixin Aluminum Industry Co.,Ltd.,plans to implement the integrated Heqing project(Phase II)for green,low-carbon hydropower and aluminum processing in Xinghe Industrial Park,Xiyi Town,Heqing County,Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture,Yunnan Province.The construction scale is to produce 20770800 tons of raw aluminum annually,with a product plan of approximately 210000 tons of aluminum ingots,and a total investment of approximately 1.336 billion yuan.

  The Metro Mining Queensland Bauxite Project has achieved its annual production target.In the fourth quarter,the company mined 1.204 million wet tons of bauxite,pushing the annual total production to reach the upper limit of 3.5 million wet tons of target production.The current reserve of bauxite mines is 109.5 million wet tons,and it is expected to produce 4 million wet tons of bauxite by 2020.
  Exemption from carbon tax on coal in India benefits the aluminum and steel industries
  The Indian government has announced that it will waive the clean energy tax on coal.Currently,India imposes a carbon tax of 400 rupees(5.61 US dollars)per ton on coal production and imports.After this implementation,the production cost of steel and aluminum can be reduced by 400 to 500 rupees and 4000 to 5000 rupees per ton,respectively.Companies such as National Aluminum Corporation of India,Indian Aluminum Industry,and Vedanta will all benefit from tax exemptions.
  Nalco is considering restarting its expansion plan
  Sridhar Patra,Marketing Director of National Aluminum Corporation of India(Nalco),stated that Nalco is seeking to reconsider its expansion plan.Last year,the company stated that it would invest over 300 billion rupees in the next four years to launch multiple new projects and carry out major expansion plans.The ongoing project includes the Damanjodi alumina refinery with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons,with an estimated cost of 55.4 billion rupees,to be completed in April 2021.In addition,approximately 90 billion rupees will be invested in the construction of the Angul smelter in Orissa with an annual production capacity of 600000 tons.
